*"Ventrice's book is full of ...useful examples. But she goes beyond merely reciting cases. ...She puts her finger on the all-important issue of trust. How can you recognize people in such a way that trust is built?"

New! Strategic Engagement™ survey helps you build employee loyalty and trust, keep your team on track

The new Strategic Engagement survey is based on research and consulting by Cindy Ventrice, author of Make Their Day! Employee Recognition that Works.*  The survey reveals how you can strength employees' loyalty and commitment to achieving company goals by improving practices related to recognition, communication, and alignment.

The survey consists of 40 core items based on interviews at successful companies such as Xilinx, Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, and FedEx Freight. The survey is intended to give small to medium-sized companies a practical, research-based tool for assessing key dimensions of organizational effectiveness and employee loyalty. For information contact the author.

Pilot Study Opportunity

Participate in the Strategic Engagement Pilot Study

Join up to 10 other organizations to validate the Strategic Engagement survey. Pilot sites need not be entire companies, although preference will be given to sites which can provide at least 50 responses from a homogeneous group such as a single division of a company or employees at a single site.

Because the survey is still under development, we are offering free online hosting, subject to the guidelines below.  Pilot Study participants will receive basic reports including verbatim comments from respondents. Optional additional reports are available at a nominal cost.

What you will receive

As a participant in the pilot study, your company will receive:

• Online hosting of the survey for up to 3 weeks (customization of items or demographics available at cost)

• A summary of your data (percentages and averages)

• A summary of data for up to 10 other participating sites when the report is compiled

• A complimentary one-hour telephone consultation to discuss the results and to consider their implications for action within your company.

Terms of participation

Employees who are invited to participate would be advised that:

•  Survey responses are completely anonymous.

•  The survey is being validated; candid replies are essential.

•  Survey results will be used to identify areas for improvement.

•  All employees at the participating division or site will receive a summary of results (this could be a verbal summary, or narrative with a few key statistics)

•  All employees at the participating division or site will have an opportunity to discuss the results in some two-way communication format such as a meeting, by sending email to a designated person internally, or in an online forum.

In addition, participating companies would agree to:

•  Have their data included in the pilot study report (anonymously)

•  Share a summary of results with employees as stated above

•  Offer feedback on the survey (clarity, relevance, length, etc.)

•  Describe for us how they used the results and any action taken based on the survey findings

•  Allow us to include their experiences in any case studies or articles we prepare (anonymously or not, depending on your preference)

Optional: Additional Reports

You may choose to prepare your own charts and summary reports. Or, you can request a comprehensive statistical analysis and executive report prepared by one of our senior consultants.  We will conduct a thorough statistical analysis and present key results in a concise, highly visual format to point out key strengths, potential strengths and vulnerabilities, and top priorities for improvement. Examples

We can also prepare a complete set of tables and charts, with breakdowns for specific departments. Breakdowns require at least 10 responses in any given subgroup (for example, a single functional area).

Call us toll-free, 877-666-2486, to discuss the Pilot Study. Or complete our contact information form to let us know how we can reach you.
